Breakdown of the Recent TMA Update
Management has provided an update regarding the TMA Re-Attempt process. Please take a moment to read through the details.
If you were booked for TMA during the 2024_1 Semester, you have two official options to choose from, along with an additional flexible approach:
Option 1: Take TMA Only in the Current Semester (2024_2)
For example, if you registered for 5 courses in the 2024_1 semester and your results were marked as "I" (Pending) due to TMA misconduct, you can choose to register for the current semester. This means paying the semester fee, which could be ₦30,250.00 or ₦21,750.00 (please confirm the exact amount on the portal). You will also need to register those courses as carryovers at a cost of ₦1,500 per course. The good news is that you only need to retake the TMA once it opens, without needing to retake the exams, provided you did well in them.
Option 2: Retake Both TMA and Exams
If you didn’t perform well in the exams, you also have the option to register for the semester and the carryover courses (₦1,500 per course). In this case, you can choose to retake both the TMA and the exams.
Flexible Option:
For example, if you were booked for TMA misconduct in your 200-level first semester for 5 courses, and in your 200-level second semester you have 8 courses to register that don’t add up to the maximum 24 units, you can register for the second semester and include some of the affected courses from the previous semester (2 or 3, for instance). You can continue this approach until you complete all the necessary courses.
Important Note:
After this semester, the option to only submit TMA may no longer be available, meaning you might have to retake the exams as well. So, consider your options carefully.
