Many freshers and even some returning students who are paying their school fees by themselves for the first time often assume that semester registration fee is the only payment required for a semester.

For instance, freshers pay ₦75,500, some matriculation number range pay ₦46,500, while others pay ₦38,000. Because of this assumption, many students get disappointed when they complete semester registration and realize that no money is left for course registration and exam registration.

It is important to clearly understand that semester registration, course registration, and exam registration are three different requirements, and all three must be done every semester.

The semester registration fee is a compulsory non refundable administrative payment. It only serves as confirmation that a student is ready and active for the new semester. Paying this fee alone does not register you for courses and does not qualify you to sit for examinations.

After semester registration:

Course registration must be done separately. This is where you officially select and register the courses you will offer for that semester.

Exam registration is also a separate step. Without exam registration, a student will not be allowed to sit for the semester examinations, even if courses were registered.

Skipping any of these steps can lead to serious academic issues.
