Master of Education in Measurement and Evaluation (Full Time)


Programme Outline


Duration: This programme runs for 2 semesters


Entry requirements: The programme is open to candidates with:

(a) Bachelor’s (honours) degree in Education from any recognised University; or

(b) Bachelor’s degrees in any other discipline and must possess either Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or the Postgraduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (PGD G&C)

To be admitted into the UNILAG Master of Education in Measurement and Evaluation (Full Time), you need a recognized Bachelor's degree with a minimum of a Third Class Honours, and a five-credit pass in O'Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, applicants may be required to pass a selection process like written and/or oral examinations as determined by the department. 
General Requirements
  • Degree: A recognized Bachelor's degree from the University of Lagos or any other approved university.
  • Minimum Qualification: A minimum of a Third Class Honours degree is acceptable.
  • O'Level Credits: Five credit passes in WASSCE, SSSCE, G.C.E O/Level, or its equivalent, which must include English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings. 
Specific requirements
  • Departmental Selection Process: Candidates may be required to undergo a selection process, which could include written and/or oral examinations.
  • NYSC Certificate: You must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, or be in the process of completing it, to be eligible for postgraduate programs. Candidates who have not completed the NYSC program or are currently undergoing it will be automatically disqualified. 
Other important notes
  • Application Status: Ensure you have a Bachelor's degree and have completed the NYSC program. Uncompleted degrees or those with pending results will not be considered.
  • Transcript: Your academic transcripts must be sent to the Deputy Registrar/Administrative Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the start date of the session.
  • Professional Certificates: Any professional certificates you possess can be uploaded with your application
